Dstl
The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) is an agency of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and exists to supply the very best, impartial, scientific and technical research and advice to the MOD and other government departments.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA)
The Health Protection Agency's role is to provide an integrated approach to protecting UK public health through the provision of support and advice to the NHS, local authorities, emergency services, other Arms Length Bodies, the Department of Health and the Devolved Administrations. The Agency was established as a special health authority (SpHA) in 2003.

The Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership (PMSP) consists of the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the University of Plymouth, the Marine Biological Association of the UK, the National Marine Aquarium, the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science, the Diving Diseases Research Centre and, as an Associate Member, the Hydrographic, Meteorological and Oceanographic Training Group
