Innovations in animal health and nutrition - VetHealth Global 2009, Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, Canada 6-8 October 2009

Animal Health and production is often overlooked as a sector of UK activity but is actually one of UK’s strengths, with world-class research organisations (IAH Compton, Roslin etc) generating considerable innovation that is often also of relevance to human health and nutrition, we have renowned and productive veterinary schools, there are representatives of all the major animal health multinationals, and a number of go-ahead smaller companies in areas such as orphan vet products, stem cell therapies and non-antibiotic food animal products (Genitrix, Vetcell and Neem Biotech spring to mind as examples). If there is sufficient interest BioBridge is more than happy to lead a trade mission, with or without collaboration from a specific RDA/DA, subject to the usual UKTI parameters.
